This year, IWCO will be attending and hosting booth #601 at the Disaster Recovery Journal Fall Conference, hosted in Phoenix, AZ. The theme for 2023 is “Focus on Resiliency.” The American Psychological Association (2014) defines resilience as “the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress.”

Growing in our resilience during the pandemic

One positive outcome of the COVID-19 pandemic was the developed resiliency, as individuals, as communities, and as organizations. As individuals and communities, we’ve had to navigate the adversities and stresses of social distancing, isolation, masking, and caring for our loved ones at greater risk. As organizations, we shared some of those same challenges, as well as the implementation of new processes, procedures, and policies that seemed to change frequently as we learned more about handling a pandemic in the workplace.

Resilience in your business continuity planning requires new and imaginative ways of handling situations not experienced by our standard threats like weather, power outages, floods and fire. Business continuity and disaster recovery planning should go deeply into business operations and include critical customer communications.  Exercising those plans to include the complexity of all business operations could be the single most important step to successful resilience.

Mail-Gard enhancing resilience through relationship building

Mail-Gard is enhancing our resilience by building additional partner relationships that can assist us in the event that our operations face another threat like a global pandemic, or large-scale weather event. Having capable support that can handle first-class mail and critical communications while maintaining proper security measures that meet our customers’ expectations is crucial. Confidence in our partnerships increases our ability to adapt and overcome challenges. Whether your critical communications are internally managed or outsourced, Mail-Gard has solutions to aid in successfully maintaining compliance and protecting valuable revenue streams.
