Good things are happening at IWCO! On March 17, we celebrate the 54th anniversary of IWCO’s founding. Another significant event to mark is the one year anniversary of our transition to ownership by Cerberus Capital management. It has been an exciting year, filled with many positive changes. We are all looking forward to continuous improvement and much success as we move forward together in our strategic plan.
In January, we launched a rebrand amid a buzz of excitement and a week filled with fun activities for our team. It has been an exhilarating journey! It’s not often you get to participate in a brand relaunch! I am grateful to all of our employees and partners who helped make this happen!
We have been working to keep the momentum going to ensure all of our colleagues are sharing in the excitement of our new name, logo, website, expanded Marketing and Creative Services (MCS), and state-of-the-art production platform that allows for enhanced capabilities and increased throughput. As our CEO, Gary Masse, proclaimed in his recent blog “we never believe good enough is good enough.” So, as Chief Human Resources Officer, I have been striving to Make Better Happen for our IWCO Team.

Building Retention Through our Engagement Committee
We encourage our employees to become actively involved in our Engagement Committee, which focuses on various aspects of engaging with our local communities and each other. We welcome all team members to participate in any activity that suits their interests and step out when that particular activity ends.
We encourage our teams to work together to accomplish a goal. An event to raise money to fund research for a cure, like our Walk MS participation last year, can include all of our teams as we work together to support the efforts of the MS Society. Last year, our volunteers raised $5,000 and their contribution was matched with company funds.
I am particularly proud of this year’s Share the Love Food Drive, held in February to donate much needed non-perishable food and household items to fight food insecurity for our neighbors in need. Collectively, we raised 739 pounds of food and supplies that were distributed to local food banks.
