Half-way through my first week as the new CEO of IWCO Direct, I am impressed by our culture. Jim Andersen has been an inspirational leader, mentor, and friend to me, our employees, clients, and industry partners. I am humbled and honored by the opportunity to work with our employees, clients, and business partners to continue our efforts to advance our highly effective, data-driven marketing solutions. As I stated in the news release, I am well aware that Jim left very big shoes to fill. I look forward to this challenge and know that as a company we will work together to continue to build upon our clients’ successes and our vision for the future.
When Jim transitioned to the role of Executive Chairman more than 18 months ago, the search for a new CEO began as part of the company’s succession plan. When I was asked to consider joining IWCO Direct, I embraced the opportunity, in part because Jim has always spoken highly and enthusiastically about IWCO Direct, its employees, clients, and industry partners.
I come to IWCO Direct with nearly 30 years as a member of the Steel family of companies. In 2018, I was named President/CEO of Lucas Milhaupt in Milwaukee, WI, as part of the SteelGrow program to recruit and promote from within. Prior to that, I spent 26 years at OMG, Inc., a Steel Partners operating company, in several roles, including regional sales manager, international sales manager, vice president of sales, and most recently, as senior vice president and general manager of the FastenMaster division. The culture and history of OMG is very similar to IWCO Direct, which will help ease the transition.

I am a passionate believer in the importance of having a culture like IWCO Direct’s, with strong values and a keen focus on our clients. Understanding the value chain is critically important. Value is created when we provide effective solutions to clients. If we can solve high-stakes problems, then we create greater value.
I firmly believe that the results our company creates for our clients are driven by the actions of our employees. When people are treated fairly, honestly, with respect, and have autonomy in fulfilling their responsibilities, we deliver exceptional results for our clients.
