IWCO Direct employees continue to take on leadership roles with prominent organizations that support the graphic arts and direct marketing industries. First Kurt Ruppel was named Vice Chair of the EMA board of directors. Last month we announced Bob Rosser had been appointed Industry Vice Chair of MTAC. Today we are proud to announce Steve Myrvold has been elected to the 2020 Board of Directors for the Association for PRINT Technologies (APTech).
You may be familiar with APTech for their annual PRINT conferences. APTech is a purpose-driven organization dedicated to supporting the entire printing value chain. It offers resources including research, business development, education, events, and governmental representation to its members. Like nearly everyone and everything associated with the graphic arts industry, APTech has transformed in recent years. One of the most important decisions it made last year was to allow print service providers to join the association. Because of this, skillful executives like Steve can join and help lead the future of print.
Bringing a Well-Rounded Perspective to the APTech Board
As we noted in Steve’s nomination form, he is an increasingly rare executive with operator experience. He began his career as an envelope adjuster, but it didn’t take us long to recognize his leadership potential. He not only wanted to learn as much as he could about his job, our processes, and our company, he also had a great way of relating to people. In fact, his kindness and ability to connect with people once landed him on Good Morning America, where a fellow college classmate was so appreciative of his kindness that she was compelled to share her story with the world.
Beyond his leadership skills, Steve has extensive knowledge gained through his oversight of a long list of print technology platforms we utilize. His knowledge has been instrumental in bringing new opportunities for our clients to achieve success for their brands while transforming IWCO Direct into a leading provider of data-driven direct marketing solutions.
We know Steve’s knowledge, humor, and commitment to his duties will serve the APTech community well. Please join me in congratulating Steve as he lends his time and insights to this important organization.
