You may ask yourself, what is a win-win-win situation? In short, these new products are a win for our clients, our company, and the environment.
The next evolution in IWCO Direct’s commitment to sustainability is the introduction of C-Stream℠ and Revive℠, two plastic substrates that benefit both marketers and the environment. We wouldn’t be able to launch these products without the continuous support and partnership of our plastics supplier, GOEX. They have a sustainability strategy in place that includes a continued focus on their “Zero Landfill” operating philosophy.
Introducing C-Stream and Revive Promotional Card Substrates for Sustainable Direct Mail
The C-Stream and Revive substrates both contain recycled plastic content, making them exemplary options for sustainable direct mail campaigns. Revive is a recycled PETG product that uses a blend of printed and non-printed scrap from the medical thermoforming industry. It contains a minimum of 70% recycled content. C-Stream is a recycled PVC product that reuses our printing trims and other production waste. It contains up to 70% recycled content. Both have been developed for use in the production of plastic promotional cards, and both have proven successful.
Using these recycled and recyclable materials for your promotional cards can facilitate a reduction in the amount of waste destined for landfills. Not only does Revive give new life to our print waste, but it also offers a home to trim scrap generated in medical thermoforming that cannot re-used in medical-grade products. Revive can be recycled in curbside collection systems where available and since C-Stream is produced within a closed-loop recycling program, any waste materials are reused into new printing substrate or sold to recycling.
In addition to being a more environmentally friendly option for producing plastic cards for sustainable direct mail campaigns, both C-Stream and Revive have undergone rigorous quality testing in our facilities to ensure they exceed our exacting standards. They have proven performance in many of the treatments we see on plastic cards, including printing, die cutting, embossing, foil stamping, and drop on demand (DOD) personalization.
