Change is a constant at IWCO Direct. Today, we proudly announced three well-deserved promotions within our leadership team, and also announced Joe Morrison has retired as president and CFO. Joe will be sorely missed.
Promotions at IWCO Direct for Jake Hertel, Mike Henry, and Pat Sondreal
First, let’s review the exciting news. Jake Hertel, who has been vice president of finance since 2012, has been promoted to executive vice president and CFO. Jake has done an impressive job since joining us in 2007 and his financial expertise ensured a smooth transition from a privately held company to a public company as part of Steel Connect. Jake worked alongside Joe Morrison, and we know he’ll continue to do a fantastic job as we continue to grow.
Michael Henry has been promoted to vice president of Pennsylvania and Mail-Gard manufacturing operations. Michael excelled in his previous role as vice president of Mail-Gard and overseeing our Hamburg, PA, print facility. We know he will continue to do an outstanding job and that all of our Pennsylvania operations are in great hands.
Pat Sondreal’s experience as a commissioned officer of the U.S. Navy, as well as a Six Sigma Black Belt, brings tremendous discipline and attention to detail in his expanded role as vice president, total quality, client services, and continuous improvement. He will continue to lead our implementation of the Steel Business System (SBS) methodology as we remain focused on reducing cycle times, improving quality, and finding new ways to measure the results of our efforts.
Wishing Joe Morrison A Happy Retirement
I saved Joe for last because we are sad to see him go. During his 13 years with IWCO Direct, everyone has looked to Joe for his sound advice, strategic counsel, and calming presence as we enhanced our financial strength and expanded our service offerings. In true Joe fashion, he worked extremely hard to ensure a smooth transition and see that no loose ends remained. I would like to thank Joe for all his hard work over the years on behalf of our clients and employees, and personally thank him for his friendship.
Congratulations again on these hard-earned promotions at IWCO Direct. We wish Joe well on the extensive travels he and his wife have planned.
