One of the important ways IWCO Direct contributes to the good of our company and clients is encouraging employees to take leadership roles within organizations that advocate for our communities and the direct marketing industry. That’s why we were pleased to announce earlier today that Kurt Ruppel, our director of postal policy and marketing communications, has been named vice chairman of the EMA board of directors.
For many years, EMA has been a strong partner for the mailing industry and the companies that support it. They work behind the scenes to promote the value of paper-based communications, advocate for a financially sound postal service, and educate legislators on the size and economic importance of the entire direct mail supply chain.
We’re all very proud of Kurt and know how well he represents IWCO Direct not just with EMA, but also in his roles with MTAC and PostCom. He is just one of our many employees who are dedicated to strengthening our industry and our communities. Others include:
- Bob Rosser, Director Postal Affairs, Products and Services, serves as vice chair of the PostCom board of directors.
- Bev Lohs, VP of Human Resources, serves as chair of the Mentor Minnesota board of directors; is a deputy with the Minnesota Business Partnership (MBP) and a member of MBP’s Education Council; and is former chair of the Southwest Metro Chamber of Commerce.
- Mary Hyland, VP of Business Services, serves on the board of directors of the National Charity League-West Lakes Chapter.
- I also serve on the executive committee of the Minnesota Business Partnership, and am a former board member of EMA, Printing Industry Midwest, and Mentor Minnesota, where I now serve as an advisory board member.
Of course, you don’t have to be a board member in an organization to make a difference. Countless IWCO Direct employees are involved with many worthy organizations and causes that are important to them. Thank you to everyone who contributes their time and talents to making our industry and our communities better.
