PIM Star of Excellence Awards Recognize IWCO Direct Account Manager

Every year, the Printing Industry Midwest (PIM) hosts the Star of Excellence Awards. These awards are particularly special because PIM members nominate industry colleagues for a variety of categories. The three big awards are for Customer Service Representative, Production Professional, and Outstanding Team. Of course, I’m particularly interested in the Customer Service Representative of the Year award.

This award goes to a Customer Service Representative who has “gone above and beyond to provide outstanding, innovative customer service or improve a process or service.” They must also be known for their responsiveness to customers, efficiency, professionalism, innovation, and conflict resolution. Needless to say, to be nominated for the 2017 PIM Customer Service Representative of the Year Award is a huge honor.

We were thrilled to have one of our account managers, Tom Hedlund, be nominated for this year’s award—especially since IWCO Direct account manager Derynn Meyer had previously won this award, making this accomplishment a recurrent event for our company. Tom is a great example of how our account managers meld their knowledge of print and processing with quality and efficiency to create outstanding customer service.

In celebration of Tom and all the other nominees from this year, PIM hosted the Star of Excellence Awards Banquet, which was held last Thursday night. It was revealed at that event that Tom had not only been nominated for 2017 PIM Customer Service Representative of the Year Award, he had won.

One of Tom’s clients provided a glowing recommendation in support of Tom’s nomination. At the end of the letter, they said the following:

“We truly can’t say enough good things about Tom and how much we value him. He is a pleasure to work with, he is always well informed of changes that may arise within the industry, and he provides a level of customer care that is to be envied by those who don’t have the opportunity to work with him. Without a doubt, he deserves the Printing Industry Midwest Customer Service Representative of the Year Award.”

We couldn’t agree more. Congratulations, Tom, on this incredible achievement!
