thINK is an independent community of Canon Solutions America production print customers, solution partners and industry experts. It is designed to assist businesses in achieving accelerated growth and productivity. This dynamic, collaborative community provides a forum to network with peers, share best practices and learn from industry leaders and solution partners.
Last September, IWCO Direct’s Kurt Ruppel wrote, “The inaugural thINK Conference exceeded my expectations, packing a lot of education and conversation about production inkjet into a very compact timeframe.” Well, Kurt, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
The 2016 thINK Conference, scheduled for October 10-12 in Boca Raton, is just a few months away. Last year’s inaugural event drew more than 350 attendees, making it one of the largest user group events for inkjet production printing. thINK 2016 promises to be even bigger and better, with a projected attendance of more than 400.
As thINK Board Vice President and this year’s conference chair, I wanted to share an update on what you’ll see at the 2016 thINK Conference. The thINK team has been working hard to surpass last year’s conference by studying the feedback from attendees and building an agenda that sets the bar even higher.
New Sessions and Networking Opportunities on the Agenda for the thINK Conference
The most noticeable change for 2016 is the addition of advanced sessions. Many of us have been using inkjet for a while and are able to help clients take advantage of all its capabilities. That’s why we’ve added sessions covering topics like enterprise color management and 1-to-1 communications. Those new to inkjet will also find sessions that will give them a running start, from basic inkjet concepts to strategies for selling it to marketers.
One of the most popular sessions from thINK 2015 focused on color management. It was a success because it featured subject matter experts breaking the information down into understandable, actionable items. This year we wanted to include more sessions focused on common issues and challenges led by smart people who can share their experiences with the rest of us.
The networking opportunities at thINK were even more popular than the color management session. The presence and availability of inkjet pros made it easy to ask questions, get answers and find new ideas. There will be plenty of networking opportunities again in this year and they will be better than ever. In addition, we’ll have educational opportunities that run the gamut from marketing your inkjet capabilities to technical sessions on color management and workflow to sessions focused on software tools that can improve the efficiency of creating print files.
We’re also bringing back the Partner Pavilion. Here you’ll be able to talk to 25-30 partners to learn about their solutions for finishing, software, paper and workflow tools. In short, thINK 2016 is the digital inkjet event of choice. Canon Solutions America leads the production inkjet market and they’re the ones driving new inkjet technology forward, in part by creating thINK.
