Next week Sheila Olson, HR Manager, and Tammi Stumpf, HR Generalist at IWCO Direct will be heading down Interstate 94 for the University of Wisconsin – Stout Career Conference in search of passionate, creative and dedicated individuals with excellent communication skills who collaborate in teams and want the chance to make a difference. You can find Sheila and Tammi at the Sports & Fitness Center on Tuesday, February 9 from 10:00 am-3:00 p.m. (see map for booth #).

We’ve had tremendous success hiring UW-Stout graduates at IWCO Direct over the years. They’ve joined us as scheduling managers, account executives, package planners and sales leaders and have been high achievers and excellent employees. Two recent UW-Stout graduates, Zach Sisk, graphic production artist/designer and Bradley Anderson, account coordinator, joined our team full time after interning with us.

There are many reasons IWCO Direct could be the right place to jump-start your career. We’re consistently ranked as one of the largest direct mailers in North America. We have excellent training, mentorship and coaching to help new hires succeed and we take pride in offering opportunity for growth and career advancement. And as the leading company in our industry, you will be working on the direct marketing campaigns for some of the most recognizable brands in the country.

Whether you are a freshman or senior, we hope you’ll stop by our location to learn more about the departments with openings we are looking to fill, including:

Tips on Getting Noticed

Working in human resources, I often get asked for advice from job seekers on how to stand out from the crowd, particularly at an event such as the UW-Stout Career Conference. While it’s a bit cliché, it’s true that first impressions leave a lasting impression. We like to put a face to a name, so stop by and introduce yourself to Sheila and Tammi. You’re more likely to get noticed if you come prepared and act professionally. Do some research on our website to get a sense of what we do and how our positions might align with your interests. Bring your resume and cover letter and be prepared to tell us what sets you apart from the competition. Provide examples that showcase your capabilities. Be sure to tell them what you are expecting in a job or internship and show us that you are knowledgeable about IWCO Direct.

Finally, if you’re unable to attend the UW-Stout Career Conference, check out our job postings on our Careers page and complete the employment application. For internship opportunities with us, apply to the posting on the Careers page and we will keep in touch.
