Critical communications recovery. Well, it’s not up in neon lights yet, but it did just make it to the bright lights of the publishing world. Mail-Gard is proud to be part of the second edition of EDBOK: The Electronic Document Book of Knowledge, published by Xplor, The Electronic Document Association.
In 2012, a group of Electronic Document Professionals (EDPs) discovered the need for an industry “standard” that would establish a base-level of knowledge about document application development and document production. The book, which is a compilation from many industry professionals, deals with all aspects of the life cycle of documents. The second edition of this educational publication will include a chapter dedicated to the critical business function of continuity and recovery of print and mail production operations.
Mail-Gard is excited to contribute to what many consider an EDP textbook. We are also glad that recovery is being featured in the text to make it a more well-rounded, comprehensive set of topics.
Mail-Gard is also excited to be part of a panel discussion with Madison Advisors and Rockport Publishing, “Recovering from Disaster: Nationwide Insurance.” This breakfast event takes place on Monday, September 29th, from 8-10 a.m.at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. If you’re interested in attending this session, please email Christine.Burke@iwco.com for more details.
If you can’t join us in Chicago, please visit us in New York City. Mail-Gard is taking part in the second annual Continuity Insights East Conference, October 7 – 8. For more information on this event please visit www.cieast.com.
We are excited to get our years of recovery experience in print, to help educate and inform companies of the importance of continuity for your critical communications. Our time spent at conferences and speaking engagements lets us learn from our prospects and customers that the world of printed and mailed documents is constantly evolving. It’s always time to learn something new.
