Last week was exciting at IWCO Direct. Not only did we have our annual Town Hall meetings, but we also announced the recipients of the 2013 President’s Awards. The Town Hall meetings take place annually at each of our four locations and are designed to keep employees informed on how the company is doing and how we can improve. This year’s theme, “Going for Gold,” was a perfect indicator of our 2014 goals.
The meetings began with a look at IWCO Direct’s gold medal performance in 2013 and our goals for 2014. We went over performance metrics, capital investments and budget highlights. Mike Ertel, EVP Sales & Marketing, spoke on sales successes in the past year and efforts to expand into several new verticals. He also touched on our Marketing Services initiative and how it will benefit prospective customers and current clients.
Jim Andersen, CEO, rounded out the meeting with a recap of our 2013 achievements and a discussion of our goals for 2014. Our experience, capabilities and creative/innovative thinking have earned us “gold” in direct mailing, but there is always room for improvement. IWCO Direct’s top five goals and objectives are as follows:
- Continue to lead the transformation to digital
- Expand our vertical expertise
- Enrich our value proposition with Marketing Services
- Improve overall effectiveness through our strategic initiatives
- Augment our unified quality practice across all facilities
After a question and answer session, the leadership team moved on to announce recipients of the 2013 President’s Awards, a recognition ceremony where we reward employee dedication and hard work. These annual awards recognize exceptional employee performance and results that reach well beyond the normal daily requirements of an employee’s job. All employees are encouraged to nominate colleagues for their positive attitudes and exemplary efforts. Over 400 employees were nominated with more than 130 teams and individuals receiving awards.
A special note of congratulations goes to Melissa Graves (Little Falls), Tim Kane (Warminster), Laura Karels (Chanhassen), and Kelly Szeliga (Hamburg) for receiving Distinguished Performance awards, and to Joe Presinzano (Hamburg) for receiving the Distinguished Service award.
Congratulations to the 2013 President’s Award recipients and a big thank you to everyone at IWCO Direct for making 2013 a success. We’re excited about the efforts already underway to make 2014 a fantastic year.
