A big part of our business at Mail-Gard is staying on top of industry trends to best prepare our customers for the threat of disasters and other serious business interruptions. We have found one of the best ways to do this is by attending the industry’s biggest events. Mail-Gard’s official trade show season is set to begin in March, with a return to an old favorite and a conference we’ve been attending since our inception in 1996.
Xploration 14 – “The Customer Communication Conference” – will take place March 25-27 in Orlando. This conference used to be part of our trade show calendar and has been rebuilding its strength and popularity in recent years. Xploration focuses on best practices, trends and new technology specifically for the document communications industry. As a recovery provider for these critical communications, this will be a great venue to understand the future technology requirements of our customers and prospects in an educational and networking setting. Our visit to Orlando will continue with the Disaster Recovery Journal’s (DRJ) 50th Conference, which will be held March 30-April 2. Mail-Gard is honored to present our fourth “Mock Disaster” session at this event. This three-hour seminar takes participants through a real-life disaster scenario with each attendee assigned to a specific role/department within a fictitious company. Questions must be answered and tasks completed while interacting with other company departments and outside vendors. The goal of the session is to ensure the company’s disaster recovery plans are implemented to ensure success of the organization. Unexpected situations (and some fun scenarios) enhance the participants’ experience, all while ensuring they take away a few lessons learned on what items may be missing from their own company’s disaster recovery plans.
