DRJ Spring World Kicks Off Conference Season

Jerry Montella

One of the first signs of spring for the folks here at Mail-Gard is our attendance at the Disaster Recovery Journal (DRJ) Spring World in Orlando, Florida. The DRJ World is the largest conference dedicated to disaster recovery and business continuity and is celebrating its 48th show.

The event kicks off on Sunday, March 17 with pre-conference courses including how to successfully conduct your first business continuity plan/disaster recovery drill. Throughout the week, there are a variety of general sessions structured to benefit everyone from beginners to industry experts. There are also four Breakout Tracks, each with sessions specific to a given topic such as strategy, management, technology and emergency response. And if that’s not enough to keep you busy, exhibitions and product demos will run periodically throughout each day of the event.

Mail-Gard has been attending this conference since our inception in 1996. We look forward to greeting many of our customers, and of course, looking for a few new ones while discussing emerging trends in the recovery and continuity arena.

Continuing our trade show season in April, we will be participating in three conferences this year:

  • Continuity Insights Conference at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina April 22-24. This conference, like DRJ, seeks to educate professionals in business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society) Conference at the Los Angeles Convention center, also scheduled for April 22-24.
  • This year we have added another stop to our spring schedule – the Document Strategy Forum. This conference focuses on all aspects of document management from creation, distribution, management and recovery of critical customer communications. The event takes place at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, Connecticut April 29 through May 1.

Attending, exhibiting and speaking at trade shows such as these allows us to interact with prospects, customers and our industry peers. Keeping a keen eye on the constant changes in the print-to-mail recovery industry such as compliance, security and technology allows us to offer the nation’s leading critical communications continuity and recovery services.

We hope to see you at one of these great conferences. If you have any questions regarding which event might be right for you, or you’d like to connect at one of the events, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
