Spreading the Spirit of Generosity

Joe Morrison

As we celebrate the holidays and prepare to ring in the new year, I would like to share how many employees at IWCO Direct have celebrated this season through contribution and community – two values that have been part of our culture for more than 40 years.

November was designated “National Giving Month” at IWCO Direct as we initiated a variety of fund-raising events within the communities surrounding our facilities in Hamburg and Warminster, PA and Little Falls and Chanhassen, MN. Focus organizations included the United Way, Boys & Girls Club, American Red Cross, March of Dimes, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), People Reaching Out to Other People (PROP) and the Kinship of Morrison County – as well as the Hurricane Sandy relief effort.

Many of our giving efforts continued into the holidays. Our Hamburg, PA employees were proud to brighten the holidays for 26 area children through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, which seeks help from local companies to provide gifts for underprivileged children. Employees selected “angels” with a child’s wish list from the tree and dropped off gifts that were delivered to the Salvation Army for Santa to finish the job.

Employees at our Chanhassen, MN headquarters held our annual Toys-for-Tots drive. They collected 22 “Santa bags” of toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve holiday program.

I would like to thank all who contributed to our continued spirit of generosity this holiday season. We’re proud to work with these thoughtful and caring individuals and know they made a profound difference for many people.

Happy Holidays!
