Next week marks the one year anniversary of bringing the U.S. operations of Transcontinental Direct into IWCO Direct.
Our key objective with this deal was to create a national footprint that would advance our postal strategy by supporting a robust total package offering across the county. This approach allows us to get our customers’ direct marketing messages in front of audiences faster and more efficiently.
Through the hard work of our employees and support of our customers, this acquisition has been a tremendous success. The capital investments we made – deployment of equipment, reconfiguration of portions of our platform, and organization enhancements – are paying great dividends for our customers.
Another important benefit of this acquisition was bringing on-board many highly skilled and exceptionally knowledgeable employees who not only know direct marketing but transitioned smoothly into our culture. In fact, we recently announced our annual ’s Awards for exceptional performance and results. Of the 90 recipients, nearly half came from our new facilities.
I’m extremely proud of the dedication and commitment of everyone involved with making this acquisition an overwhelming success for our customers. With much of the heavy lifting done on the operations side, we are now set to take even greater advantage of our national footprint in 2011.
