Jim leads the team of executives who are responsible for IWCO Direct’s advancement as a leader in data-driven marketing. Since 1999 he has been at the forefront of the company’s strategic vision to develop new capabilities and adopt advanced technologies that help clients create customers and build strong loyalty. A graduate of American University, he was honored with the 2010 Harry V. Quadracci VISION award from the Printing Industries of America and was inducted into the Printing Impressions/RIT Printing Industry Hall of Fame in 2008. Jim also served as president of Hazeltine National Golf Club in 2016 when it hosted the Ryder Cup.
With an agency background spanning three decades, Tedd adds to IWCO Direct’s expertise in the development and execution of innovative direct marketing strategies. His agency experience saw him leading award-winning direct marketing efforts for numerous national and international brands. At IWCO Direct, he applies his insights to create new and enhanced client relationships while helping clients achieve measurable results. Tedd attended Michigan State University, served as a mentor for the Richmond Ad Club, has been a guest speaker for multiple universities, and is a former member of the Board of Governors for the Direct Marketing Association’s International ECHO Awards.
EVP Sales & Marketing
Mike guides the Sales and Marketing groups at IWCO Direct with a focus on creating dynamic marketing programs to assist customers in achieving their marketing goals. Moving beyond direct mail and leveraging the company’s nearly 50 years of experience, Mike works with the nation’s top marketers to drive omni-channel efforts that deliver results. He earned a BA from the University of Wisconsin–Stout with a major in Industrial Technology and an emphasis in Graphic Communications, along with a minor in Business.
VP Content Development
As the leader of the Content Development team, Jim is responsible for the transformation and delivery of variable digital content along with advancing new content-related digital technologies. He has been on the leading edge in developing direct mail solutions for three decades as variable data and personalization continued to be a catalyst for change. In 2001 he was recognized as an Innovation Award winner for Best New Product—Jetproof, and he served on the Digital Printing Advisory Council in 2015. Jim graduated from Saint Joseph’s College with a BS in Business Administration.
VP Marketing & Corporate Communications
Debora shapes the voice for IWCO Direct by managing the brand and all levels of communication, including as the corporate spokesperson. She understands the exciting, fast-paced technology advancements which make data relevant, but also believes human touch is still needed to make the magic happen. This philosophy provides an important backdrop to internal and external communications and guides the company’s approach to its customer experience. She is a frequent contributor to trade publications and a popular conference speaker. She earned a BA in Advertising and Psychology from Syracuse University.
Vice President, IWCO Direct & Mail-Gard®
Michael performs dual roles for IWCO Direct, overseeing sales, operations, and staffing for the Mail-Gard division in Warminster, PA. He also is responsible for the Print and Envelope operations at the Hamburg, PA, facility where he manages daily production, staffing and maintenance. Michael brings more than 30 years of direct mail, disaster recovery and continuous improvement experience, and inspires his team to strive for excellence by embracing advances in technology that provide higher quality and faster service. He is a member of the National Postal Policy Council, is a coach for youth sports programs, and has served as a Township Zoning and Planning Commissioner. Michael holds a Certification in Lean Management and Innovation from Villanova University and is Master Certified in Strategic Organizational Leadership from there.
Jake leads the team that is responsible for all core financial functions of IWCO Direct, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, payables, and receivables. He understands direct mail remains the best way to acquire new customers and that new technologies, tactics, and formats will keep mail relevant and effective for years to come. He is actively involved in youth mentoring and the Knights of Columbus. He is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a BA in Business with a major in Accounting.
Tom works to ensure IWCO Direct’s services and capabilities are in alignment with the current and future needs of our clients. He realizes the beauty of direct marketing is its ability to target individuals and measure results, and knows this will become even more important as media consumption habits continue to evolve. He is inspired by the feedback consumers provide, telling us through their response and engagement levels whether we are speaking to their needs and preferences, or if a different approach is needed. Tom is a graduate of Ball State University with a BS in Marketing and a concentration in Advertising.
VP Business Services
Among her many duties, Mary oversees procurement, pricing, cost accounting, billing, business analysis, and reporting at IWCO Direct. She is fascinated by direct marketing’s role in helping consumers make informed choices and the focus IWCO Direct puts on delivering the right message to the right person at the right time in the most efficient manner. A strong advocate of mentoring, she is currently a Grade Level Advisor for the West Lakes Chapter of the National Charity League. She previously served as Treasurer of her local PTO and Girl Scouts chapters for many years. Mary holds a BS in Finance from St. Cloud State University and an MBA with an accounting concentration from the University of St. Thomas. She is also CMA Certified.
VP Human Resources
Bev is an integral member of the IWCO Direct leadership team, helping to create a company culture that identifies, attracts, and retains talent to drive value and fuel growth. With a degree in Industrial Relations and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater, she is energized by the art and science of locating the right talent to help our clients create new and more loyal customers. A very active member of the local business community, she serves on the MN Business Partnership’s Education Council, which is focused on building a world-class educational system that prepares students for post-secondary and career success. She is also a board member of the Mentoring Partnership of Minnesota, which aims to build and elevate youth mentoring programs and opportunities.
President & CFO
Heavily involved in many areas of IWCO Direct’s business, Joe directs many teams that support the company’s ability to provide world-class service and results, including operations, IT, business services, human resources, and finance. He also helps manage Mail-Gard, a division of IWCO Direct that provides disaster recovery and print overflow services. Joe believes that IWCO Direct’s industry-leading teams can help clients achieve their objectives through groundbreaking strategies and tactics, including innovative and effective use of direct mail, as a national leader in attracting and retaining customers. He received his BA in Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier University in addition to his Canadian CPA.
EVP Operations & Customer Experience
Steve has overall responsibilities for IWCO Direct operations, as well as managing IWCO Direct’s efforts to create a world-class customer experience and client onboarding process. This includes evaluating new technologies and determining what solutions best meet client needs. A long-term member of the management team, he is inspired by IWCO Direct’s ability to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to incorporating new technologies and developing new systems and processes that keep clients one step ahead of the competition in reaching new customers. He attended Bemidji State University.
VP Marketing Strategy
Alan maintains and enhances new and existing client relationships with new solutions, leveraging market insights, client feedback, and best practices to develop actionable strategies for multichannel marketing. Keeping his eye on the future of direct marketing, he sees direct mail delivering even better results when linked to multichannel digital marketing campaigns that extend effective targeting and personalization strategies. With a BA from Boston University and an MBA from City College of New York, Alan frequently volunteers his marketing skills to local charities, including building websites and developing their online presence.
VP Marketing Strategy
Wes helps clients evaluate the effectiveness of their current direct marketing efforts and sets the strategic direction of their future campaigns. He developed and refined his strategic marketing abilities over 20 years, providing strategic marketing solutions to more than 100 blue chip clients. Wes is excited to be at the center of a new age of marketing, where the ability to create customers is driven by data and analytics but dependent on emotion, creativity, and passion. He believes nearly every element of the marketing mix is (and should be) measurable and accountable. His career began with a BFA in Advertising Design from Grand Canyon University and evolved into executive roles at firms including DDB, Cramer-Krasselt, and Direct Partners (Omnicom). He is also active in his local community, serving as an advisor to a Boy Scouts High Adventure Group in Glendora, CA.
Chris Van Houtte
VP Information Technology
Chris oversees all technology functions for IWCO Direct, including technical support, infrastructure, security, and application development, for both internal systems and client solutions. He is excited about the evolution of high-speed digital printing and its ability to drive targeted messaging and omni-channel marketing campaigns by taking the lid off print and truly allowing shared content and logic among channels. Chris holds three patents for web-based technology solutions focused on delivering consumer rewards. Chris holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from Minnesota State University—Moorhead. He complements his professional skill set with 12 years of experience as a youth baseball coach, nine as a youth mentor, and two as a leader of an incentive industry technology consortium.
