Steps To Upgrade Equipment, Integrate Operations To Maximize Growth And Accelerate Delivering On Customer Expectations

Chanhassen, Minn. (Oct. 15, 2000) – The Instant Web Companies, a combination of printing, envelope conversion and mailing services companies, has initiated significant steps to restructure company operations, including idling unutilized assets, modifying staffing configurations and relocating envelope manufacturing to the Instant Web printing facilility.

“To bring our level of service to the most competitive position possible, we are accelerating the pace of improvements,” said Jim Andersen, Instant Web president and CEO. “Our comprehensive plan will reduce production costs, improve operational efficiencies and eliminate services that are not delivering results.”

As part of the changes to streamline production flow, four unutilized presses will be removed and all envelope manufacturing equipment will be moved to the print facility, where space can be reconfigured advantageously. The ordering of a new printing press and the acquisition of ancillary in-line automation equipment for all company presses are anticipated soon.

Besides the investment in technology, the company has consolidated positions, reduced administrative expenses, assembled a strong management team and reduced turnover.

The Instant Web Companies, headquartered in Chanhassen, Minn., with a logistics management facility in Little Falls, Minn., has served the North American printing and mailing market for over 30 years.
