IWCO Direct Honors Our Military Members this Veterans Day

11-11-11 marks the 73rd year the U.S. has officially honored our veterans. Originally known as Armistice Day, the federal holiday was formally established in 1938 to honor World War I veterans. But in 1954, it was expanded to become Veterans Day, a day set aside each year to honor American veterans of all wars.

As a former service member, November 11 is an especially meaningful day for me. Prior to entering the world of direct marketing, I proudly served my country for a decade as an officer in the U.S. Navy, including serving within the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon. Along with me, there are approximately 70 other IWCO Direct employees that have identified themselves as service members and have proudly served our country.

As we look towards this Veterans Day, I would personally like to thank each and every veteran and active service member at IWCO Direct, our customers and across our nation. Your service is truly appreciated.

This Friday, each of us at IWCO Direct will take time to honor those who have served our country and keep in our thoughts those who are currently serving at home and around the world, as well as the sacrifices their families make. I hope you join us.
